The Stories That Shape Us
On the Myth of Masculinity, the Legacy of Silence and the Power of Being and Staying Present
Gian Losinger, 2025
This thesis unfolds in three parts:
An essay that traces my personal and theoretical path, as I muddle through the stories I’ve inherited and the frameworks that shaped me.
A letter to my six-year-old self, written across time, as an act of witnessing and care.
And finally, a box: a collection of texts, images, and references I offer him as fragments of insight, companionship, and possibility.
